Security & Monitoring

Security built into the network itself.

For law firms, studios, and executive homes, a secure network isn't a feature. It's the foundation. We design segmented, monitored Ubiquiti infrastructure and turn on the security features your gear already ships with, the ones most installers never set up.

What we secure

Our approach

We secure the layer most IT shops ignore.

Most security gets bolted on after the fact. We build it into the network from day one, with proper segmentation, managed firewalls, locked-down WiFi, and monitoring that tells us something's wrong before you notice. It's the same Ubiquiti-grade infrastructure we're known for, designed with security as a first-class requirement.

And we go further than most installers. The UniFi ecosystem ships with serious security and surveillance capabilities that almost nobody turns on. We configure them around how you actually use your space, so you get everything your gear is capable of, set up properly.

What we secure

A layered, monitored network.

Network Segmentation

Separate VLANs for staff, guests, cameras, and devices so a compromised tablet can't reach your case files or financials. The single most effective control most offices are missing.

Managed Firewalls

Properly configured gateway firewalls with sensible rules, content filtering, and secure remote access, kept current with firmware updates, not set-and-forgotten.

Secure Remote Access

VPN and remote access set up the right way, so you and your team can reach the network from anywhere without leaving the door open to everyone else.

Continuous Monitoring & Alerting

We watch your infrastructure for outages, rogue devices, and abnormal traffic, and respond before it becomes your problem. Proactive monitoring is included in our managed support plans.

Built into your ecosystem

The features you paid for, finally turned on.

UniFi gear ships with serious security and automation built in. Most installs leave it on the factory defaults. We set it up around how you actually run your space.

Third-Party Alarm Monitoring

We connect your cameras and sensors to a professional alarm-monitoring service, so a real monitoring center responds when something trips, not just a push notification to your phone.

Webhooks & Custom Integrations

We wire UniFi Protect and Access events to external webhooks, so a door opening, a motion alert, or a license-plate match can trigger anything from a Slack message to a custom automation in your own systems.

UniFi Protect, Fully Configured

Smart detections for people, vehicles, and packages; activity zones; two-way audio; and the built-in Alarm Manager. We set Protect up around how you use the space, not the factory defaults.

Is your network actually secure?

Most aren't: flat networks, default firewall rules, and surveillance gear running on factory settings. Start with a free assessment and we'll tell you exactly where you stand.

Frequently asked

The questions we hear most often before someone hires us.

What makes CCIT different from a traditional managed service provider (MSP)?
Most MSPs are built around helpdesk ticketing and 24/7 SOC operations. They sell a monthly per-user contract and operate at scale. CCIT is a design boutique. We deploy enterprise Ubiquiti infrastructure with the same care an architect brings to a build, then back it with personal ongoing support. You always reach the engineer who designed your network, not a ticket queue. The trade-off: we're not the right call for a 200-person company that needs a full SOC. We're the right call when you care how the infrastructure looks, how it performs, and who's accountable for it.
Do you only deploy Ubiquiti?
Ubiquiti (UniFi) is our default because it gives clients enterprise-grade performance with a clean aesthetic and predictable long-term economics, with no recurring licensing per AP. For specific use cases we'll deploy other gear: PoE switches from other vendors when needed, Synology or QNAP NAS for storage, UniFi Protect or other IP cameras, and so on. We're opinionated, not dogmatic.
Where in Los Angeles do you work?
Our service area is Culver City and Greater LA: Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Playa Vista, West Hollywood, Brentwood, and the Westside. We've also done installs east into Hollywood and south into the South Bay. If you're outside that radius, ask. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
How quickly can you respond if something goes down?
Same-day on-site response across Greater LA, Monday through Friday, 9a–5p PT. Most network issues we can diagnose and resolve remotely within an hour. For clients on a managed support plan, we proactively monitor infrastructure so we usually see issues before you do.
Do you do one-time installs, ongoing support, or both?
Both. A typical engagement starts with a site assessment and design, followed by installation and configuration. After that, clients choose: a one-time project (install + 30-day warranty), or ongoing managed support (proactive monitoring, firmware updates, on-call response, an annual network review). Most clients move to managed support because the network is now too important to be self-service.
How much does a network install cost?
Every project is scoped individually. No two spaces are alike. After a site visit we provide a detailed scope and a fixed-fee quote, so there are no surprises and no time-and-materials creep. Ongoing managed support is quoted separately based on the size and complexity of your site.
Can you work with my existing IT person or company?
Yes, this is a common arrangement. Many of our clients have an in-house IT generalist or a separate MSP who handles helpdesk and Microsoft 365, and they bring us in specifically for the physical network layer (WiFi design, cameras, structured cabling, on-site infrastructure). We coordinate cleanly with existing IT teams.
Do you handle structured cabling and physical infrastructure?
Yes. New site installs and retrofits routinely involve running Cat6/Cat6A, terminating jacks, installing IDF/MDF panels, sizing and installing UPS protection, and rack buildouts. For larger jobs we partner with licensed low-voltage contractors. The goal is one accountable design lead (us) across cabling, network, WiFi, cameras, and power.
What industries do you specialize in?
Creative studios and post-production agencies, law firms and professional offices, startups and growing teams, retail/restaurants/cafés, fitness studios, and executive homes / private offices. The common thread isn't industry. It's clients who can't tolerate a network that's a daily friction and care how the infrastructure presents physically.
How do we get started?
Call (310) 496-0074 or request a site visit. We'll do an initial 15-minute call to understand your space, your timeline, and whether we're the right fit. If we are, we'll schedule a site assessment, deliver a scoped design and fixed-fee quote, and you decide from there. No long sales process.
